Tivoland operates the SRS (Support & Reward Scheme)

If a member helps to save you time and hassle, thank them by buying them a drink!
Click HERE for information about this scheme or if your ready to go to the bar click
the SRS button on the right now. The SRS buttons are always at the top of all forum
screens and as a backup, there is a text link HERE. Now there's no excuse even if you
have left your wallet home :-)

Based on your comments, I presume you are using a network card in your tivo as opposed to dial-up?

When you received the new router, do you know if the IP range on the new router is compatible with your old router?

Its common for ISP's to supply routers using one or two different IP ranges by default. Often either the 192.168.1.x range or 192.168.0.x range.

Now, your computer probably wouldn't care either way if everything is set-up to use DHCP for auto IP address allocation. Tivo however doesn't support DHCP and hence has a static IP address set.

So for example, if your old router was on the 192.168.1.x range and the new router is on the 192.168.0.x range, the Tivo wouldn't be able to get to the outside world.

If this is the problem, its fixable with a bit of config tweeking Smile

Did you ever get this sorted?

I presume you were able to access the Tivo in order to change the IP address, its the only way other than removing the disk and re-running the network driver installation CD.
